With the new laws on medical ethics and sexual harassment awareness training, we will review all the current continuing education and training regarding professional boundaries; unprofessional conduct relating to the commission of acts of sexual intimacy, abuse, misconduct, or exploitation with regard to the practice of dentistry. Then we will discuss appropriate measures to deal with legal or investigative matters. This course satisfies the new State law.
Course Objectives:
- Understand the new laws
- Appreciate that it does affect the way we practice and do business
- Be prepared for a law suit
- Comprehend the fines and penalties involved in non-complianceAbout the Presenter:
Dr. Maron attended Emory University Dental School and residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, followed by a 1 year fellowship in reconstructive surgery. After finishing his residency at Emory, Dr. Glenn Maron remained in Atlanta where he was a full- time faculty member at Emory until 1994. After leaving Emory, he continued his private practice in Midtown Atlanta. He was the official Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon for the 1996 Olympic games in Atlanta. That experience was his first foray into the sports world. In 1999 he was named the maxillofacial surgeon for the Atlanta Thrashers hockey club and was the team surgeon until 2013 when the team left Atlanta. He also worked for 6 years with the Atlanta Falcons and continues to work with the Atlanta Braves baseball team and as the Maxillofacial Surgeon for the Atlanta United MLS team and the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Dr. Maron serves as the maxillo-facial trauma consultant for the NHL and is the past president of the Georgia Society of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery. Dr. Maron has also been appointed to the examination committee for the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Most recently, Dr. Maron is currently serving his second 5-year term on the Georgia Board of Dentistry.

Charles joined CWA in 2001 and became partner in 2016. He plays a critical role in growing the firm’s client base as the director of business development, marketing, and new client services.
He travels the country speaking at dental schools and residency programs, study clubs, dental symposiums and state and national dental meetings on strategies to reach financial freedom. Since 2004, Charles has presented to over 30,000 dentists and over 50 dental schools. He is a published author, and host of the top-ranking dental podcast, Transition Talk.
He founded CWA's affiliate company, NDP, which assists doctors in buying, transitioning, and valuing their dental practice. He and his team help hundreds of dental professionals with their transition goals annually.
Charles also facilitates and presents a robust business curriculum at Texas Tech El Paso Dental School, where his mission is to prepare dental students for success in the business side of dentistry upon graduation.
Using his insight and experience for over two decades in the dental industry, his passion is helping diagnose the financial support dentists need and then connecting them with someone who will then help them achieve their financial goals.
